Guru Gobind Singh Ji was born at Patna Sahib. His entire life was full of struggle. But he lived in the spirit of Akal Purakh and was absorbed in devotion day and night. Guru Sahib had fought many battles in his lifetime and had broken the teeth of his enemies where he was an expert in wielding weapons. Poets used to decorate the court there. There were 52 poets in his court.
Guru Sahib himself also knew many languages. He had four sons. Baba Ajit Singh, Baba Fateh Singh, Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Jujhar Singh Ji. Guru Sahib gave his life for the sake of country and nation. All four Sahibzades were martyred. The elder Sahibzades were martyred during the war in Chamkaur Sahib and the younger Sahibzades were marked alive in the walls of Sirhind.
