Bollywood actress Kalki Koechlin is celebrating her 40th birthday on 10th January 2024. In most of the films, Kalki is seen in a supporting role but people like her acting a lot. Kalki Koechlin is a French actress and writer but she was born in Pondicherry, India and this is where she gained recognition. Kalki mainly works in Hindi films and is known for her modern lifestyle. Kalki Koechlin was attracted to theater from an early age. She studied drama at Goldsmiths, University of London and also worked with a local theater company. Koechlin expanded his career into scriptwriting with the crime thriller That Girl in Yellow Boots (2011), in which he also starred.
Koechlin won high praise and a National Film Award – Special Jury Award for her portrayal of a young woman with cerebral palsy in the coming-of-age drama Margarita with a Straw (2014). Koechlin switched to web content in late 2010 and starred in several successful web series. She garnered acclaim for her role as a lonely socialite in Amazon Prime Video’s romantic drama Made in Heaven and as a self-proclaimed godwoman in Netflix’s crime thriller Sacred Games (both 2019).
She married Bollywood’s famous director Anurag Kashyap in the year 2011 and it was their love marriage, but after 4 years, they got separated. There was an age difference of 11 years between the two.
There is not much update about the real reason behind Anurag Kashyap and Kalki’s divorce. But it is said that rumors of infidelity increased the tension in their relationship, due to which they had to decide to separate. Despite the end of their marriage, Kalki and Anurag respect each other.
After divorce from Anurag Kashyap, Kalki met Hershberg who is her current boyfriend. Kalki also has a daughter from Hershberg who born in 2020.
